Linda Tan (President)
Linda Tan has more than 25 years of experience in publishing covering a broad range from editorial to narketing. Currently she is the publisher of Oyez!Books. Oyez!Books was established in 2008 to focus on Malaysian children's books. A strong advocate of local children's book writers and illustrators, Linda is active locally and internationally, and has spoken at several international fairs.
Norhayati Razali (Vice-President and Representative for Pulau Pinang)
Norhayati Razali has been actively involved in the children's book industry. She has worked at the Majlis Buku Kebangsan Malaysia and at Perbadanan Kota Buku where she organised Malaysia's presence at International Fairs . She is the founder and director of Literasi Resources, a firm that provides consultancy services on developing information literacy, school resources and content.
Nisah Haron (Treasurer and Representative for Negeri Sembilan)
Nisah Haron has been writing as a hobby since 1988. She has written forty short stories, five novels, essays and a few poems published in local literary magazine and newspaper. She practised as an advocate and solicitor as well as a syarie counsel for eight years before becoming a full-time writer in 2006. She advocates on the copyright awareness among writers and publishers.
Lim Lay Har (Secretary)
Lim Lay Har is a writer and illustrator of picture books and short stories. She has won several awards locally and over aseasd her illustrations have been exhibited at the Asian Festival of Children's Content Singapore.
Tay Yit Ping (Representative for Sarawak)
Tay Yit Ping is the founder of Ika Picture Story House, Kuching, Sarawak. IKA Picture Story House was started in 2012, specialising in children picture story books and activities that promote reading. Yit Ping is also active in promoting story reading culture for young children and parents.
Yezreen Mohamed Yusof (Representative for Terengganu)
Yezreen Mohamed Yusof is an Architect based in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. On the side, she has illustrated a few picture books of which one (Phonics Junction for Little Muslims) has won an award during Children's Lit Festival KL, 2015.
Keiong Chooi Ling (Representative for Pahang)
Keiong Chooi Ling graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Kuala Lumpur College of Art in 2002. Her first picture book, The Sweet Potatoes, was published in 2014. She has also illustrated for newspapers and is currently working on another picture book.
Kaithiri Arumugam (Representative for Kedah)
Lim Lay Har (Representative for Perak)
Lim Lay Har has published two picture books and one chapter book. Her chapter book, Master & Apprentice won the Calistro Prize in 2012. She loves the magic of the everyday and writes about them with charm. She lives in Ipoh with her three children.
Kaithiri is a teacher. She is currently pursuing her PhD at UUM, Kedah. Her research study is on Malay Children's Literarature with a focus on children's picture books. She aims to engage parents in using picture books to cultivate a love of reading among children.
